NO GMO’s – American Academy of Environmental Medicine

The only way that people can change from victims to victors is through action. Each time you educate yourself and learn to refuse to purchase GMO (genetically modified organisms – genetically modified food) you send a direct message to the food industry that you want to eat food that is not scientifically modified.

The medical industry is now being educated and realizing the dangers in GMO’s. For years consumers have not been educated or given the opportunity to choose because of no labeling. This will expand into our meat and fish as they genetically engineer those foods.

The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) doesn’t think so. The Academy reported that “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system. The AAEM asked physicians to advise patients to avoid GM foods.

Before the FDA decided to allow GMOs into food without labeling, FDA scientists had repeatedly warned that GM foods can create unpredictable, hard-to-detect side effects, including allergies, toxins, new diseases, and nutritional problems. They urged long-term safety studies, but were ignored. . .


It is only through our voices, which is by what we purchase when we shop for food that we will be able to stop GMO’s in America.
